This beautiful Watermelon Aura quartz crystal point necklace is one-of-kind.

This crystal is a natural quartz crystal point that has been infused with minerals to give it's watermelon aura appearance.

I have wire wrapped this beauty with .925 sterling silver as the base and weaved with .999 fine silver.

Comes on a black leather cord with .925 sterling silver findings. (Also Handmade)

The story of this Watermelon Aura Quartz Crystal:

In 2010 my family and I went crystal digging in Arkansas. It was a very hot day in July and after a day of digging at Jim Colemans crystal mine, we stopped at his crystal shop back in town to look around and escape the over 100 degree heat .

 It was there I came across these beautiful special crystals.

The story is back in 1999 a guy took some of the crystals he had dug up and tried to create the look of Watermelon Tourmaline. 

The minerals infused are not known. He called these beauties Y2K crystals.

Example of this type of infusion is the Aqua Aura Quartz that is infused with gold to get its beautiful aqua color.

It is created in a vacuum chamber from quartz crystals and gold vapor by a process known as vapor deposition. The quartz is heated to 871 °C (1600 °F) in a vacuum, and then gold vapor is added to the chamber. The gold atoms fuse to the crystal's surface, which gives the crystal an iridescent metallic sheen.

I will be creating more of these beauties sense I purchased most of these that were in good shape.
